Collaboration between NGOs and LPAs.

On October 10-11, 2019, our social assistant Mrs. Natalia Calalb has attended a training on “The role of local NGOs in promoting the good governance act, as well as encouraging and creating conditions for people from social-vulnerable families to participate in decision-making process”.

The following subjects were discussed:

  • Ways of getting NGOs involved in local development (local development; terms; methods and technics of participation).
  • Local Public Administration (of 1st and 2nd levels) (organization and operation of LPAs; specific of tasks and responsibilities).
  • Operation of local/rayon council (juridical aspects related to local councilors; the procedure of examining and taking decisions; activity, decisions and acts of local/rayon counsels).
  • Access to information and transparency insurance in decision-making process (legal framework; administrative transparency; general terms; steps).
  • Civic participation in budget-elaboration process (instruments and local successful practices; the concept of participative budgeting)

The event is organized within the project “Integrating active aging in the Republic of Moldova public policies”, implemented by HelpAge International and the Platform of Active Aging, being financially supported by the East-European Foundation, in partnership with the Center “Partnership for Development”, using the resources of Swiss Agency for Development and Cooperation and Sweden.
