Seniors from Sirma village are being provided valuable information within the project “Along with the experience of Seniors, Your voice escalates”
On January 28, “Parteneriat Social” Public Association has continued to provide useful information to seniors, but this time focusing on seniors from Sirma village. This participative event took place at the Sirma Public Library – one of our project partner.
The event was attended by some active seniors (up to 17 persons) from the community, who expressed their interest to contribute to solving some stringent community problems. As special guest, the informative session was attended by community Mayor and a few counselors.
Besides project information, there was discussed methods by which citizens could contribute to community development, through their active participation, including attending local council sessions and launching proposals towards LPA working agendas.
Mrs. Cazacu Lilia, the Mayor of Sirma village has not miss the occasion to express her opinion, by mentioning the following: “I am happy that Sirma village is among the beneficiaries of this project. Being at my first term as mayor of Sirma village, I appreciate and find useful the fact that some problems can be easily solved after having a constructive and open transparent dialogue with community citizens. I would like to say “Thank You” to the whole project team for its support”.
All the identified problems and proposed solutions will be collected and included in an Opinion Document, which will be passed on to LPA representatives from Sirma.
The event was possible due to the project “Along with the experience of SENIORS, Your voice escalates”, financed by the European Union and the German Federal Ministry of Economic Cooperation and Development, with the support of the “Representation of Konrad Adenauer Foundation in the Republic of Moldova”, aiming at encouraging and supporting 800 elderly people and 50 young people from 5 Leova rayon localities to participate in decision-making processes.
